Sophie’s Sweets and Surprises began with two things I have always loved: baking and thoughtful gift-giving. What started as sharing homemade treats with friends and family has grown into a small business rooted in care, quality, and intention.

Baking is at the heart of what I do. I offer locally made baked goods prepared in small batches using carefully selected ingredients. Each order is made by my hand and handled personally from start to finish. 

Alongside my baked goods, I curate luxury gift boxes designed to make every occasion feel elevated. Just about every item included is made in the United States, mostly by fellow small businesses I truly admire. I carefully select every product to ensure it reflects quality, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.

Hi, I’m Sophie! I live in the suburbs of Chicago and am excitedly expecting my first little one. (Insert bun in the oven joke) I recently decided to leave the 9–5 life to pursue my small business dreams, and it feels so exciting to follow something I’m truly passionate about. A little about me: I love baking (obviously!), getting lost in a good book, listening to music, playing piano, and soaking up the sunshine whenever I can. I’m happiest when I can combine creativity, a little sweetness, and simple joys in everyday life.
